The map consists of provinces with 7 hexes each.
Starting province is a double-sided tile where the player's capital in the center. Other tiles are one-sided and are initially placed face down to be flipped during the game.
Each hex represents a specific type of terrain. There are 6 types of terrain:
Each hex has one and only one terrain type. Up to 20% of its area may visually contain elements of another terrain type for smoother transitions, but this does not affect its designated type.
