All units located on one hex, if there is at least 1 military unit, are called the army. The number of units in the army is called its army size.
Army size limit is the maximum number of units that can occupy a single hex at the same time. By default, the limit is 4 units per hex. Each castle you build increases your army size limit by 1. Therefore, after building three castles, the limit becomes 7.
The army consisting of different types of units is called the combined arms army. For convenience, sort the units of the same type into separate piles.
The army on a hex with a fortification is called the garrison.
Movement points of an army are defined by the smallest number of the movement points of one of its units.
Army strength is calculated against a certain enemy target right during the battle. It is the number of cubes
(attack / defense) that is added to the bag based on army composition.
It is either attack or defense cubes, depending on whether the target is within the attack range of army units.
Army strength bonus is additional attack / defense cubes that are added to the bag during the
battle, based on army position and technologies.
Army courage is the number of cubes that can be drawn from the bag during the clash. The army courage is calculated as the sum of the number of active units and the courage modifiers.
