Building is the structure with 1 hit point.
Even though the art on building tokens is different, all the tokens are equivalent, that is any of them may be, let's say, a barrack, a market or a meadery.
You can construct the following buildings:
City is the fortification with 3 hit points. It can accommodate a garrison which has +1 strength bonus during defense.
Other than a capital, you can construct 3 cities. Every constructed city gives 1 extra action cube, that is available instantly, unless the city is destroyed. The minimal distance between cities is 1 hex.
City allows you to control the province it is constructed in, therefore, it increases the revenue from taxes to your treasury.
Castle is the fortification with 4 hit points. It can accommodate a garrison which has +1 strength bonus both during defense and attack.
You can build up to 3 castles. Every constructed castle increases the number of available action cubes by 1.
Castle allows you to control the province it is constructed in, therefore, it increases the revenue from taxes to your treasury.
Castle also unlocks the ability to recruit elite units.
Wall is the structure with 2 hit points. Units cannot move through the enemy wall. Your own wall is not an obstacle for you and your ally.
During a battle, your army on a hex with a wall becomes the garrison of this wall if a direct line between your army and the enemy target intersects this wall. The wall's garrison has +1 strength bonus during defense. At the losses stage, the opponent must first deal damage to the wall, and after its destruction, to the garrison.
The wall has a decent level of resistance, so only siege engines with projectile attack are effective against a garrisoned wall.
Palisade is the structure with 1 hit point. It is a cheaper and less resistant analog of the wall. Units cannot move through the enemy palisade. Your own palisade is not an obstacle for you and your ally.
A Wonder is a structure that has as many hit points as the number of its stages constructed, ranging from 1 to 3.
A Wonder is constructed in 3 stages. The first stage requires 1 action , and each of the next two stages requires 2 action
. The cost of each stage is indicated on the corresponding Wonder card, which the player selects from the wonders row before construction begins.
Each stage grants you a property indicated on the card, which you can use immediately after completing that stage. Action cubes remain on the Wonder until all stages are completed.
After completing all stages, the Wonder token is flipped to its completed side, and action cubes are returned during the cleanup phase. At the end of each round, you gain for your completed Wonder.
If the Wonder is destroyed, you return its token to your player mat and discard the Wonder card. After this, no one can construct this Wonder.
